On 13 March, Tunisia celebrates the creation of the Tunisian Association of AD (Alzheimer Tunisia ) aimed to know this disease illuminate its dark side and also to provide assistance to families of patients.
Alzheimer's disease is difficult. It undermines both the patient and his entourage. This form of dementia can affect any older person. Its origins remain somewhat unclear. There is no cure and the patient's family should take his misfortune patiently. Our friend Sara
Boudali wrote a poem for the occasion:
Alice in his world of yesteryear
saw everything white
Now she looks through holes
Now she sees more and more blurred
To have to walk too far
of defiling his shoes
A fetch his little household
Alice does not feel the wind
Alice lost her gifts
Do kitchen as before
Alice no longer recognizes these people
Yet it loves
That they feel it, too feels
Sometimes Alice wakes
Sometimes tells Alice in Wonderland
She recognizes all her grandchildren
other times dark Alice
In his eyes we see a shadow
Alice suddenly lost
In these moments
Alice calls her mother
Dead there are many long
Alice seventy years
She looks everywhere
The calls incessantly
But how to explain to Alice
What is left for thirty years
Alice insists
Nobody understands
In these moments
Increasingly long
She lives in a world
Other than this
Yet Alice is loved all
is always our mom
Even if we recognize it more
That when his eyes lighten a moment
We will always
Alice loves feeling the wind in her hair
she loves to laugh by making noise
she likes to express his feelings
One must make a clear
Alice lives in a world of yesteryear
We must hold his hand
to help pass his predicament
Until a day a cure
Vienna oppose
this insanity imposed
